14 LBMAO Reporter - March-April 2026 www.lbmao.on.caadditional cost. They have not given up on sustainability though. They are still offering dealers a $5 refund on any skids that they return. Another way they are changing things is to have all PIVIT products covered with a one-piece bag. This bag goes over the skid at the end of the production line and ensures the product contents are completely dry. The third way that Stubbe%u2019s has changed the premixed concrete business is through the use of %u00bd skids of product. Rather than having to buy a skid of 56 bags they are selling things like grout in 28 bag lifts at no additional cost. A quote from Andy Stubbe, president of Stubbe%u2019s:%u201cWe are not accepting what we call the norm, the normal way of doing business. We try to actually figure out a better way, a more efficient way, a better-quality way.%u201dThey are currently running product in their off season so that when the weather breaks, they will be able to hit the ground running. Their aim is to provide a 48 hour or less turn around on truckloads of bagged concrete products. They have invested in a fleet of new curtain-side tractor trailers to make sure that this delivery goal is met. Having inventory on hand to meet customers expectations is another way they want to change the packaged concrete business. At the time of the LBMAO tour, they had over 200,000 bags of product ready to ship, all stored inside this beautiful new plant. In addition to the PIVIT line of products, they have a complete line of concrete accessories. From Big-Foot tubes, bonding agents, wire block grids, and a variety of lengths of cardboard forming tubes, they have concrete needs covered. All of these items are designed with quality, and ease of use in mind. With this new plant and their complete PIVIT line they are looking to change the industry.
