22 LBMAO Reporter - January-February 2015 Over the years, the LBMAO has held its
Annual General Meeting at various
venues throughout the province, including
Fort Henry in Kingston where the attendees
enjoyed a traditional dinner in the Officers
mess, served by soldiers in the dress
uniform of that period of time; The Prince
of Wales Hotel in the quaint area of Niagara-
on-the-Lake (a wonderful hotel steeped in
history) that was very accommodating to
our group; the Ben Miller Inn near Goderich
where we enjoyed a murder mystery
evening; as well as an evening of luck and
entertainment at the Casino in Windsor.

This year was no exception; we were
able to host the 97th AGM on December
4th at the Canada Aviation and Space
Museum in Ottawa. This proved to be an
exceptional venue for our meeting and
dinner. Attendees were given private tours
by qualified tour guides who provided
informative background on the many
military and civilian aircraft that have helped
develop Canada throughout the past 100
years. These historical aircraft on display
at the museum are a testament to the
determination of Canadians to develop our
country into the world leader it is today.

We were also served a gourmet dinner,
dining in the museum itself. There is
something special about enjoying a
delicious meal and good conversation
under the wings of a Lancaster Bomber,
